Product Details

A geometric bobble textured vest and bobble hat.

Avis is Latin for bird. Inspiration for the pattern comes from a bird’s eye view of the beautiful clear waters of Lake Wanaka, revealing the stones and pebbles along the shoreline and the golden colours of the autumn trees.

As the bird soars high, she looks out past the crystal-clear waters to the mountains beyond.

The Hat pattern has two versions, knitted flat on straight needles or on the round on double pointed needles.

TENSION: 22 sts and 30 rows to 10 cm [4 ins] over stst on 4 mm [6 US] needles.

When substituting yarn, compare the tension gauge of the pattern and the yarn. Working a tension square to determine the suitability of the yarn as a substitute is recommended - to compare the tension for sizing but also to test whether it creates the fabric you are after.

To determine the quantity of substitute yarn needed, compare the total meterage needed in the pattern to the meterage on the substitute.
